We were born to move.

When was the last time you danced and really felt confident in your own body?

In our Strut Fit dance class, you will learn how to freely and naturally move your body in a way that works with your style and daily limitations.

Learn easy dance moves. Strut and move in a way that feels right for you.

Just be yourself.

This is a judgment-free zone. The only pre-requisite is willingness. Willingness to try. Willingness to not care what others think, and a willingness to invest in yourself and your physical and mental health.

Size & Shape Just Don't Matter

Got curves? No curves?

Feminine? Masculine?

Former professional dancer?

Never danced before?

New to town and don't know anyone?

In-shape or totally out-of-shape?

NO WORRIES! No discrimination here.

Anyone can attend.

All Welcome!

Hi! I'm Jillian

Movement is so good for us! That's why, after 18 years of instructing fitness classes in Ontario, I realized that all I really wanted to do was dance and feel confident in moving my body - no matter my current size!

Like many of us, I continue to be on this journey of self-love, faith and embracing myself for all that I am worth. I moved to Golden, BC in 2022 to find less stress, more mountains, and more of me! And I am so happy I did!

I hope you will join me on this journey!

Participation in a Strut Fitness class

This class is not about "no pain, no gain" kind of thinking. It's about doing what is comfortable for you and your body, given your current health situation. At any time if you feel pain, you should discontinue that activity and definitely consult with your physician. As you know, any level of participation in a physical activity is at risk of causing injury or harm. Not every activity is right for every one. In fact, if you are considering or planning to join a Strut Fit class, it is recommended that you consult with your physician or medical practitioner before attempting any kind of physical fitness or exercise / dance class.

All activities can be modified to fit the intensity level that you are comfortable with and that is right for your body. Get the okay from your doctor before participating and remember that we want to strengthen our bodies and have fun - but in a safe manner. Only do what is comfortable for you and modify everything to make each movement your own. :) Jillian XO
